REF: - VISIT TO BANTRY BAY. JETTY IS MARKED WITH RED NAVIGATION LIGHTS AT EITHER END. THE CO-ORDINATES ARE:

LIGHT WHITE MORSE “U” EVERY 15 SECONDS HEIGHT APPROX 6 METRES – RANGE 2 MILES FOGHORN MORSE “U” EVERY 30 SECONDS RANGE 0.5 MILE WE WILL ARRANGE THAT PILOT AND / OR PILOT BOAT WILL BE LOOKING AND CALLING VESSEL ON VHF CHANNEL 14 ONCE THE VESSEL ENTERS THE BAY.

As you advance up the bay, you will notice the jetty on the Northern shore approx. Midway between the Eastern point of Bere Island and the Western Point of Whiddy Island. We recommend that you take a course up the mid channel of the bay and we will have the Pilot listening out for you. You can start calling Bantry Pilot as soon as you enter the bay.
